About This Place

Welcome to Rachel's Coffeehouse, a charming and inviting café nestled in the heart of Toronto at 2011 Yonge St. This delightful eatery is not just a place to grab a quick coffee or snack; it's a haven for those seeking warmth and comfort, especially on a snowy day. With a thoughtfully designed layout that includes a cozy sitting area and a dedicated space for laptop users, Rachel's is the perfect spot to catch up with friends or unwind with your favorite beverage.

The menu is a treasure trove of flavors, offering a variety of delicious smoothies like the refreshing Mango and the unique Chocoholics Smoothie, both priced affordably at CA$6.95. For those who prefer coffee alternatives, you can indulge in the soothing Blue Matcha or the delightful Dirty Chai Latte, each brimming with taste and character.

One of the standout offerings at Rachel's is their sandwiches, particularly the mouthwatering Smoked Salmon, Green Mango & Avocado Sandwich served with a crisp salad. This unique combination of ingredients promises a delightful mix of textures and flavors, making each bite an experience to savor. As one customer aptly noted, the quality of the coffee is exceptional, made with a house blend from a local roaster, ensuring that every cup is brewed to perfection.

The ambiance at Rachel's is equally commendable. Guests have praised the friendly service and the cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. The cafe also boasts outdoor seating that is dog-friendly, perfect for those who wish to enjoy their coffee with their furry companions by their side.

While there is always room for improvement—like ensuring the cleanliness of the seating—it’s clear that Rachel's Coffeehouse has carved out a special niche in the local café scene, combining delicious food, excellent coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. As a food reviewer, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Rachel's if you're seeking a comforting, genuine café experience amid the hustle and bustle of city life.

Cozy traditional style cafe, it’s a perfect spot to get some coffee and snacks on a snowy day. The layout of the cafe is quite thoughtful, a bar table on the left of the entrance and a comfy sitting area on the right. Laptop users be aware: there is another section at the back for you. Washroom was cleaning and stylish. And of course coffee and pastries were excellent. Great service as well. This is a spot I’d meet up with friends for a nice coffee and chat.

The croissants were superb. So was the scone. Met a lovely couple who were Rachel's parents. They were Friendly and didn't want a tip. Wish I had taken pictures, just a decently run family cafe. Outside seating is dog friendly although I didn't see a dog watering bowl. The sparrows will eat out of your hand though.

Stopped by for a coffee and sandwich. The sandwich was unique - smoked salmon, avocado, sliced mango....very tasty. Served on toasted whole grain bread. Came with a side salad. I had a latte, which was delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Seating was fine - not a huge place but there were seats available. Price was reasonable. Just for the coffee alone I would go back!

Got americano, great coffee and warm greets saved my mood of the day. Coffee is made with house blend from local roaster and the quality is beyond my expectation. The barista is so attentive to customer’s needs and served iced water after I finished the coffee.

Went for a late coffee on a weekend. On Yonge street but it is not noisy. It has a patio and has plenty of space and good food and coffee. Hope they do a deep clean of their couches. The handles of the couches made us get up and choose metal chairs instead but otherwise definitely a place we would come back to.

Good coffee and a nice selection of baked goods. Their butter tart ,although too sweet, paired very well with coffee. Their grilled vegetable ciabatta was absolutely delicious.

Great little coffee spot! The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the staff ( met owner as well) is friendly and welcoming. They make a really solid cappuccino—smooth and balanced, with just the right amount of foam. You can tell they care about quality. Tried flavourful chicken sandwich alongside and it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
